For our teen class at Kids' Club last night, we talked about Easter and how to be saved. For our activity we did this skit. There are no speaking parts but one person was the "sculptor" and he took each person and arranged them around the cross to create the crucifixion scene. One of the students graciously agreed to play her piano solo "Change My Heart, O God" during the skit.d. It is a fun skit but ends on a serious note. We practiced a couple times then asked Pastor and Mrs Day to be our audience.
It was the first time there for half of the kids so it was fun to let them be moving around and interacting a bit. They seemed to enjoy it and did a fantastic job. I had goosebumps. We did not use costumes but you could. This website http://dramatix.org/Linkpages/Easter.html has several great skit ideas. This link takes you to the Easter ones but there are many many others. I'm still getting to know the kids so letting them do something like this helped me see more of there strengths, interests, abilities, etc. Our sculptor was a real ham and knew exactly what we were trying to accomplish! He did a great job of positioning people.
I'm excited about the kids and looking forward to what God has in store for us. Pray for us as we work with them and try to come up with appropriate lessons and activities.

Looks like you are doing a great job. Are you at the same church as Keith & Crystal Schaper?
Very exciting! Keep up the good work. We'll be praying for your ministry.
Thanks, Mary Ellen and Sharron. Yes, we go to the same church as Keith and Crystal. In fact, Crystal is in charge of the younger kids while I have the teens. I enjoy working with K&C a lot.
