I almost forgot...

The First Commandment of preschoolers is:
"The tag ALWAYS goes in the back."

We passed up a perfectly good outfit at Once Upon A Child the other day because the tag wasn't squarely in the back. After sitting cross-legged on the floor putting clothes off and on two squirming little ones...while saying no to five million requests for toys, hideous shoes and halloween costumes...and politely answering the friendly talk of a future public relations specialist fellow shopper who was about five years old and pushing a plastic engine at high rates of speed right in the out-of the-way-spot I was sitting... I was too tired to fight.

BTW, Once Upon a Child has got to be the best kept secret around! They are a second hand store but you wouln't know it to look at most of their clothes! Ours has kids furniture and maternity clothes, too! The place is packed and very well organized and clean and the prices were fairly reasonable. It was perfect for us because we have had to gather up an entire wardrobe for two little ones. Most retail stores just have a few styles in various sizes. This way we had a lot of variety in one place. Here's their webisite. See if they have a location near you--and they pay cash for your clothes! http://www.ouac.com/Franchise/storefinder.asp

I have been keeping up on most of your blogs--thanks to google reader--Thanks, Misty! I haven't had time for much commenting but I still love hearing what all my friends are up to!

We end up with a lot of removed tags around here! :) We've done some OUAC shopping too, although you have to watch some of their pricing on brand name items. Gymboree stuff that clearanced out at $.99 will be priced at $6. They also don't pay well for merchandise compared to what they will sell it for, but I guess that's business.

I was cracking up reading your posts! I am laughing with you, because it is also my life. A child can hear a fridge door open from miles away! You and Bob are wonderful people.
