We had a good discussion in our Sunday School class this morning about prayer. Sometimes it seems that people view God as a kind of Santa or a machine where you insert your prayer token and your wish comes out. Aren't you glad that God is more than just a benevolent Grandpa spoiling His grandchildren? He's so much more than that. Sometimes we get frustrated because He doesn't do what we want when we want it. But, guess what, His plans are so much more important, well-thought out, significant, intelligent, meaningful and everything else...here's the naked truth: God is more interested in molding me and you into the image of His Son than He is in granting everything on our wish lists. I heard someone say--it may have been Beth Moore, that if God says NO there must be a higher YES.
I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father who I can completely trust with my life. Now that I have that off my chest, I'm off to catch a little Sabbath snooze.

I love Beth Moore! Last week she was talking about living mundane lives and how we need a little excitement. She said "there is no high like the MOST HIGH". I got a kick out of it.
