We came home one day to find our anemone was splitting! This is a Rose Bubble Tip Anemone (RBTA) and this is the second time it has split for us. Splitting, obviously, is how they reproduce. Below is a close up where you can see it actually pulling apart at the top center--creating two anemones.

We took the kids to a Foster care Christmas Party. There was a balloon artist. He worked non-stop all evening making balloon figures for the kids. The balloons were free for the kids and they took advantage of it! Here is Boy B waiting while he finishes a poodle.

I learned a little lesson that day as I stood in line with the kids. The guy would ask the kids what they wanted--usually they wanted something he had already made for someone else. Occasionally a kid would be sharp enough to let the balloon guy surprise him. THOSE kids got the most amazing and cool figures AND he would custom make them to that child's interest and size. This boy has a martian with a saber sitting on his shoulders. The kid against the wall is holding a tree with a tiny yellow pineapple in it and a monkey climbing the trunk.
It reminded me that if we would spend less time whining to God about what we want or what we don't have or asking for what everyone else has----maybe, just maybe, God would be able to create something totally unique, wonderful and completely custom-fit for me! WOW!!
The guy offered to make one of these butterfly backpacks for another little girl. But she had never seen one, no one else had one and it was too scary to get something out of the ordinary. She wanted something else, a dog, I think. Well, Girl B agreed to the butterfly and she was thrilled with the result. It fit her perfectly.
My Friend Barb B. says, "God gives His best to those who leave the choice to Him."

The anemone is so cool! Love your friend's words of wisdom.
So true about God giving us the best gifts!!! A good reminder to me to take a rest and stop reminding Him what I want. :)

So true! God knows what's best for all of us and we need to just let him be in charge.
I am utterly fascinated by your splitting anemone.
