Happy Easter!!

(I meant for these to be at the bottom of the post but this is where they popped up. I don't know how to change them easily so I will just leave them.)

Stan, Zola, Tiara, Bob and me at Lewis & Clark's in Old St Charles. Great place to eat. (We think the poor guy in the canoe behind us must have been a poor tipper! There's another guy in the same headless state but he is snow skiing from the ceiling!)

It's a little blurry but they took turns closing their eyes in the other shots.
The crazy man I married and his crazier wife!

1) Easter is such a special time of year. It is the "high holiday" of the Christian church--if the resurrection were not true, we would all be wasting our time. I am so thankful that I worship a Living God who conquered death and longs to have a relationship with me. What an awesome privilege.

2) It's hard to believe I have been blogging for more than a year!

3) We are moving to Joplin. Details are slowly falling into place. Bob and I both have jobs and we have put a contract on a house. We are just waiting now for the loan to go through so we can close and move in.

4) With all this going on, I managed to go over my cell phone minutes by about 150 minutes. Makes for a lovely bill! So, if you don't hear from me for a while, I am trying to cut back. It should get better now that we won't have as many calls to make about jobs and a house, etc.

5) We have TOOO MUCH JUNK! I had no idea how much stuff had accumulated in the bowels of our abode. We have had four days of garage sales and Bob wants to have another one next weekend!

6) A sampling of things we have discovered---

a) Juiceman macine missing the very essential part that holds the juice--no doubt bought during some kind of health kick we suffered.

b) dozens of tiny yellow smiley face erasers wearing tiny stocking hats--who knows where they came from or what they were for.

c) every bill/receipt that has ever entered this house--well, almost. I have a fear that the IRS will knock on my door someday and demand to know exactly how much I spent on toilet paper in June of 1999. I want to be able to quickly and accurately give an answer. ....if the IRS knocks today, they will just be out of luck. I have a huge tub of papers to shred or burn!

d) a whole herd of sacred cows that I have not been able to dispose of because...I've had it for so long...______ gave it to me....I got it _______... WELLLLLLL, it's SLAUGHTER time at the Sacred Cattle Ranch. (Calm down, I didn't get rid of everything, I still think I have more than I should but it's getting more manageable.)

7) It is feeling so good to let go of a bunch of stuff. I think the house is even happy to see it go!

8) We got to enjoy a wonderful evening out with our friends Stan and Zola and their granddaughter Tiara. We went to one of our favorite places to eat, Lewis & Clark's in St Charles. We have never had bad food or service there. As usual, it was fabulous. We had hoped to go for a carriage ride but it was too cold and it wasn't running tonight. Tiara's one of our many adopted neices and nephews. I went to school with her parents and her Aunt Larissa.

9) I hope each of you has a great Easter.

Head over to Flylady for instructions on the 27 Fling Boogie. It's good exercise and it gets rid of clutter. Plus, it entertains the children!
