- A warm home.
- A job that I enjoy.
- A multitude of friends.
- A host of family who are also friends.
- That we had decided at the last minute to get the cell phone insurance on our new phones. AND that after we reported our lost phone and had it replaced, we found the old one...of course!
- A car for the transmission to go out on--like it just did.
- A van that still runs.
- That Bob HAS teeth to break off and need immediate dental attention.
- That all 23 girls at the church sleep over weren't blown away despite the tornado watch.
- That the guys had a good time at their camp out the same night--despite the storm.
- That the washer--that has not run since our move 6+ weeks ago, is still under warranty and the repair man is coming for the 4th time tomorrow.
- That the broken washer has given us an excuse to spend extra time at my parents' house.
- For blogs--that keep me in touch with my family and friends.
- For our church family--those that we worship with each week as well as our "extended" church family.
- Prayer.
- That I have hands that are able to do so many things-type these words, grasp my cell phone, butter a slice of bread. That my legs can walk. That my body does so many things day in and day out that I don't even think about. (I see people all day long who would gladly trade me places--imperfections and all!)
- For my Honey who thinks it is his mission in life to break the tension with some kind of ornery joke that invariably makes people laugh.
- For neices and nephews--they inspire me to enjoy life a little more. I am becoming an expert at trampoline jumping, BB gun shooting, playing pretend, Play-Doh sculptures, and making tents in Grandma's living room out of chairs and blankets.
- For HOPE. The Bible says that without hope we are of all men most miserable (or something like that). Hope is defined as the "expectation of good things."
- For you, my readers who care enough to keep up with my erratic postings...and for google reader that makes it easier for you to do that!
- That we have friends and family back in Troy to miss.
- For Elise--that she has graduated, has a good summer job and plans for college. So proud of you, girl! (Big hugs!)
In case you are wondering, we are still happy that we moved. We know it was the right decision but that doesn't mean we don't miss some of our friends in Troy.
I started cross-training in the ER this week. I am really enjoying that. I plan to pick up a few hours of overtime here and there in the ER. It's just good experience and a change of pace but I wouldn't want to do it full-time, at least not right now. I will be able to take some advanced classes too that I have been wanting to take--AND the hospital will pay for the classes and pay me to attend them! What a deal! The classes are required for ER nurses.
Well, it's getting late. I will spend my day off tomorrow like most of the others lately--waiting for the washer repairman and on the phone/computer trying to straighten out mail/bills/bank accounts that have manage to get mangled in the move.

I Love You, Sunshine.
Sunshine,
It sounds like you've had your share of "troubles" lately (repairs, etc.). Those can be draining. Hang in there. Doesn't moving really make a mess of banking and bills...I've had the same ordeal since we moved in February and am still working on smoothing things out. We need to get together soon and play some Wii :)
