Stumped and Amused

My niece Sabryn never fails to make me smile.

Yesterday I was having a little heart to heart with her about giving her heart to Jesus. She was looking very intense and serious. I was pleased that she was really contemplating what I had to say.
Until she said, "Aunt Shar, can I tell you something?"
Then, pointing to a sign on the wall behind me, "That sign has 22 words in it." That was the end of our heart to heart. :-)
A few minutes later she asked me, "Aunt Shar, if you could only keep half of your husband, which half of Uncle Bob would you keep?" I was stumped until she offered a solution.
She suggested that I would want to keep all of him! Thanks, I think I will! I love being auntie to 6 of the most fabulous kids in the world and adopted aunt to many others!

Hey girl! Thanks for the thought but Twila made me some really cute valances for my kitchen. I had a photo of a cup of coffee that I had taken, and she made valances and printed those out on some iron-on paper, so they are totally personal! Thanks for thinking of me though. I love ya!

Hello Shar,
Just a reminder... can you send me your grandmother's memoriam for the FS...I am working on Dec. FS....I couldn't find your email but remembered you had a blog. My "new daughter" has a blog she just started - neweachmorning.blogspot.com/
Just read your blog about breaking the silence....sometimes it just helps to write things or blog...I guess at times I have shared some very personal things with being a paraplegic (remember YC). We know God is good and works all things for our good..and to have the faith in Him that He is working out His plan for our good and to have a peace about being in His plan. It doesn't mean it is always easy or what we ask for and possible in His time..."Delight thy self in the Lord and he shall give the desires of thy heart" Have a Blessed Day!
