This is a little reminder for myself but thought it might help someone else, too.

The Devil speaks in negatives--you can't, God won't.
God speaks in positives--you can, I will help you.

The Devil whispers words like failure, despair, gloom, fear, anxiety.
God uses words like rest, peace, love, joy, and hope.

The Devil says, "You can't make it."
God says, "I will guide you with my eye...I will teach you in the way which you should go."

The Devil says, "You're too weak."
God says, "I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee."

The Devil magnifies the faults of your spouse, children, and others to divide us.
God reminds us that they are created in His image and are worthy of love and Jesus prays that we will be unified.

The Devil says, "No one will believe you are a Christian."
Jesus said, "By THIS will all men know that you are my disciples, that you have LOVE one for another."

The Devil says, "You can't do enough to win God's love."
God says, without qualification, "I have loved you with an everlasting love."

The Devil says, "You have been too bad. God could never forgive you."
God's mercy endures forever.

The Devil says, "No one loves you."
God says, "If your mother and father forsake you, I will take you up."
