The slides had preserved all the beautiful color that I don't see in the curled snapshots. Aunt Wilda took the slides to Wal-Mart and they transferred them to a DVD for her.
My mother has been my role model, friend, mentor, and encourager. She loves her family and will drop whatever she is doing to be with one of us when there is a crisis. Mom, thanks for being you. You are beautiful

The second picture is from our annual family vacation in Branson, MO, 2006.

Grrrr...I am having trouble figuring out how to tweak the layout so the writing isn't all squished down the side....Help, Leo!! Anyway, I am feeling much better today...and yesterday (Friday). However, the prednisone I have to take for my sinuses has me WIDE awake. I have only slept an hour or so since Thursday moring! My brain keeps going in high gear but my body begs for sleep....The good part is, that I don't have a headache for the first time in a long time. We are "sleeping" if you can call it that, in our guest room until we get the mold-infested bed replaced--hopefully that will happen in the next week or so if we can get it worked out with the company. Well, it's 4 am. I guess I will try to get a little sleep before day light. I am on call this weekend and have a couple patients to see Saturday and Sunday. We have a wedding tomorrow afternoon and are getting together with friends after that.

Love the pics! I am working on a heritage album for my mother. Wish I had some slides to work from. Looks like they preserve better.
Bummer about your bed! Glad you found the problem and are geting it taken care of, though.
Hey Shar!
This is Carla (Martin) Salisbury. Don't know if you remember us or not. I am married to James Salisbury. I have enjoyed reading your blog! Take Care!
Hey, Sharon and Carla (and Tim and James :-)--Thanks for checking in.
Sharon--I'm hoping that surely the colors on prints of the slides will be better than the old printed pictures. Liz is going to print some, maybe she can let us know how it goes.
Carla do you have a blog? It was good to hear from you. Tell "Jimmy" hello. I saw Mr. Westrick at Bus Convention and it brought back lots of memories of his classes. Take care!
I am contemplating the whole blog thing!! I will let you know if I take that leap. I will tell Jimmy you said hello. We are in Noblesville and attend Village Park Bible Methodist. We have a little boy, Luke, who will be three in June. Good to hear from you!
