Check this out for interesting reading--especially for people involved in ministry. http://www.thewayweseeitblog.com/ .
I'm still here. We are packing and spending hours on the phone tying up the loose ends--home owners insurance, loans, renters, realtors, inspectors, new employers, old employers, movers. The details are endless. Our closing date for our house in Joplin has gotten moved back to April the 9th but we are okay with that.
That means we get to spend one more Sunday in our Sunday schol class we have really been enjoying. After many years of using the same quarterly, our SS class has ventured out and started using a new curriculum. It's a series on Defending Your Faith by Dr Mark Bird through Answers in Genesis. It's about apologetics--the written or verbal defense of what you believe. It has been interesting and challenging. We are going to miss this class a lot.
The hospital where I will be working blessed us with relocation assistance! We have never worked with a real moving company before so this is all new but we are more than happy to let them muscle the move! We have to pack everything but they load, drive, deliver. What a big help.
Our friends have been spoiling us! Last Sunday our church had a carry-in dinner and had a cake for us and the pastor made a little speech. Monday morning at our weekly meeting, my work had breakfast and a card. Yesterday my good friend and co-worker Diane took me to breakfast. Last night we went out to eat with a Robert and Diane, good friend's of Bob's from his job. Yesterday I found flowers on my desk from my office. Some other friends are planning a cookout for us this weekend. Others have helped pack and helped with the garage sales. We are so blessed and will miss our friends a lot.
Elise has found her new home and is getting settled in. Our house is pretty quiet...even lonely without her. She is a ray of sunshine wherever she goes. We will miss her but are excited about her future.
Bob and I are both finished with our jobs--I just have to go in for about an hour and finish up a few things and clean out my desk. Now we have to hit the packing extra hard.
Bob's mom helped Bob yesterday and together they packed up a lot of pictures off the wall and things like that. Oh, and if you ever move, wardrobe boxes are a necessity! They are just like a portable closet. Wish I would have known about them 7 moves ago! Another very nice box is picture boxes from a Home Interior dealer! I had a picture box or two from previous moves but they are very hard to find so I hold on to them as muc has possible.
I have been keeping up with all my favorite blogs but usually run out of energy before I can comment! I have been working full-time while juggling the aforementioned phone calls and then coming home to pack until 10-11 pm. It doesn't leave room for much of anything else. Hopefully life will slow down soon.

Hi. So glad to get the update. I was wondering how you were doing but hadn't taken the time to e-mail.
