Our loan officer had initially advised us to secure jobs in Joplin as a way of showing the mortgage people that we were serious about moving. SOOOOOO...I took a day off work, drove to Joplin in the rain, had three interviews in one morning, drove back home in the rain. A few days later I had a job nailed down and resigned my current job.
NOW, we learn, we would have been better off to stick with the old jobs--period! I guess they would rather have you working at a job 300 miles from the home you are buying than planning to work in the same town where you are moving to!!
Bottom line is this: We can't close on our house until we start work. The soonest we can start work is the 14th. So here we sit with our house packed and living out of suitcases. THEN we can't move our stuff until we have some time off from work! What a mess!
We have come to my parent's for a few days. So we will just take a little rest for now. We are still excited about our move and being close to some old friends. Our friends back at Troy have made it really difficult to leave by showering us with kindness. We are blessed with an abundance of friends.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU! :>)
Shar, hang in there--you all are in lots of prayers and God knows best. So glad you're getting closer to home!! Aunt Diane
Hopefully I'll be seeing you a little more often since you'll be living so near your parents! =)
Uggh. You're building some patience (spiritual muscle) for sure! Mamma said there'd be days like this, but she forgot to mention that sometimes there'd be weeks...months...
